EFCC Operative Found Dead On Lagos Street

An official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been found dead on the street of Lagos state.

In a viral video shared online, the official simply identified as Sylvanus was dressed in a burgundy traditional attire and lying lifeless on the road.

He was also surrounded by some Nigerians including two police officers who were making efforts to search the content of a small bag he carried for any means of identification.

With an identity card found on him, onlookers in the video kept asking where the deceased works.

“Where e dey work, nah EFCC. His ID card dey there,” voices, including a policeman, said in the video.

While circumstances surrounding his death remains unclear, the EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said the supposed commission’s officers’ death is being investigated

Oyewale said, “The death is being investigated.”

His death comes barely two weeks after Aminu Salisu, an official of the EFCC was gunned down by during the commissions raid in Awka, the capital city of Anambra state.
