Opposition in Disarray as Tinubu’s Reforms Deliver Results, Says Tolu Bankole
JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tolu Bankole, has said Nigeria’s opposition parties are facing deep internal crises ahead of the 2027 general elections, claiming that the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration have left them politically weakened.
Bankole, who spoke in a statement issued on Monday, said the opposition was struggling to present a united front as political activities gradually build up toward the next election cycle.
According to him, the ruling party has continued to consolidate its position under Tinubu’s leadership through what he described as impactful policies and reforms under the government’s Renewed Hope agenda.
“The facts are undeniable and the evidence is overwhelming; the opposition is not just struggling, it is in complete disarray and existential crisis,” Bankole said.
He argued that opposition parties were “woefully unprepared, hopelessly divided, and intellectually bankrupt” as the country moves closer to the 2027 polls.
Bankole credited the political strength of the ruling party to what he described as the president’s strategic leadership and policy direction.
“President Tinubu’s extraordinary political sagacity, unmatched strategic brilliance, and results-driven governance have paralysed the opposition,” he said.
The APC chieftain maintained that several attempts by critics to undermine the administration had failed because the government’s programmes were already producing visible results.
According to him, reforms in the economy, infrastructure development, agriculture and security were gradually transforming the country.
“This is not propaganda; this is performance. The numbers don’t lie. The roads don’t lie. The new rail lines don’t lie. The growing foreign reserves don’t lie,” he said, adding that the government’s policies were beginning to reflect in improved national indicators.
Bankole also insisted that the ruling party was building momentum toward the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the APC would retain power.
“The APC is not just coasting to victory in 2027; we are surging toward it with momentum that no force can stop,” he stated.
He urged Nigerians to support the administration and resist what he described as attempts by opposition figures to create division and instability.
According to him, the country’s democratic gains must be protected by citizens who believe in national unity and progress.
Bankole called on Nigerians across political, religious and regional lines to rally behind the government’s Renewed Hope agenda, stressing that the country’s future depends on collective commitment to development and stability.
