Hillary Akpua receives Doctorate Degree from American Management University, vows to touch more lives

Founder of the Great Achiever Initiative for Youth and Community Development, Dr. Hillary Akpua, has been conferred with a Doctorate Degree from American Management University, California, at the Visionary Leadership Conference 2024.
The conferment ceremony, held in Abuja on Friday, recognized Dr. Akpua’s outstanding work in pioneering leadership and community development.
In recognition of his global contribution to entrepreneurship development, he was also given an award in Business Development and Management.
Addressing newsmen after the ceremony, Dr. Akpua expressed his gratitude for the honourary Doctorate award, stating that it was a privilege to receive the recognition. “I won’t take it for granted, it’s an opportunity to work harder, an opportunity to touch more lives and to also employ as many as possible to expand the good work,” he said.
The Great Achiever Initiative for Youth and Community Development focuses on the male child, with the aim of empowering them to become better individuals and ultimately contributing to a better society. According to Dr. Akpua, the organization’s main goal is to touch as many lives as possible.
“We are recognized because of what we are doing and the lives we touch in society,” Dr. Akpua emphasized. “We are going to push further to be the best in the world.”
Dr. Akpua’s initiative has been recognized for its impact on the community, and he believes that this recognition will attract more opportunities in the future. “We appreciate this honourary Doctorate award today and we know we’ll attract more in future,” he said.
The conferment ceremony was part of the Visionary Leadership Conference 2024, which had the theme “Pioneering Leaders with vision in a disruptive world.” The conference aimed to bring together leaders from various fields to share their experiences and best practices in leadership.

Dr. Akpua’s commitment to touching more lives is evident in his organization’s approach to community development. He believes that by connecting with more people, they can achieve their goals and make a greater impact.
