Woman Seeks Refund of N1.64m Mistakenly Sent to Jerry Eze’s Church

A Nigerian woman has appealed to Streams of Joy International for help after she allegedly transferred N1,640,200 to the church’s account by mistake.

The woman, whose name was not disclosed but claimed to be a single mother of two, said the money did not represent an offering. She explained that other people owned the funds and were now demanding their return.

According to her account, she discovered the error after completing the transfer. She then contacted the church’s financial department and asked for help in reversing the transaction.

The woman said she loves God and respects the church’s founder, Pastor Jerry Eze. However, she maintained that she could not afford to give N1.64 million as an offering.

She therefore appealed to the church to verify the transaction and assist her in recovering the money.

The situation, she said, has caused her considerable distress. She added that the people whose money was involved had continued to contact her for an explanation.

She specifically appealed to the Streams of Joy financial department to treat the matter urgently. She wants the N1,640,200 returned to its rightful source.

The appeal has also attracted attention on social media. Some users have called on the church and relevant financial institutions to verify the transaction.

They also urged the parties involved to work together to resolve the matter and return the funds if the woman’s claim is confirmed.
